I agree - the long version is exactly the same as the album version. The shorter 5.42 version, however, is the real revelation for me. It's a beautiful tight edit with exactly the same format and song progression of the entire album version but much much shorter, i.e., all the segments are shortened from 4 bars length to 2 bars for example, plus the metal percussion and later 'Metal On Metal' passages are significantly shortened. Truly a great version to have and one I did not know existed until I recently snared this 12" off Ebay.

Contrary to above opinion, i think the 'Long version' does appear on the original album. I was listening to it via YouTube gave up after 4 minutes as i worked out TEE / Metal on metal / Abzug combined is the exact same length!
